Community standards & safety

MFit should be a place where everyone can train, share progress and buy with confidence. These standards set out what is not allowed, how to report a problem, and how we review content and make decisions.

If someone is in immediate danger

Do not wait for a report to be reviewed. Contact emergency services first. If you are thinking about harming yourself, the MFit app shows Mongolian crisis support contacts, and you can reach them at any time. (Numbers to be verified before launch.)

In short

  • No promotion of eating disorders, no drug or steroid sales, no dangerous health claims, and no body shaming.
  • You can report any post, comment, profile, message, group, listing, review or partner. The person you report never learns who you are.
  • A person reviews every report and acts within 24 hours. Threats to life and child safety go first.
  • When we act on your content or account, we tell you why, and you can appeal to a different moderator.
  • Moderators can open a private message only if it has been reported, and every such access is logged.
  • Always pay through MFit. Anyone who asks you to pay by bank transfer or outside the app is breaking our rules.

This summary is here to help you find your way. It does not replace the full text below, which is what applies.

1.Scope and our approach

  1. 1.1

    These standards apply to everything on MFit: posts, comments, photos and videos, profiles, groups, direct and group messages, challenges, reviews, product and venue listings, and coach and partner pages. They form part of our Terms of Service.

  2. 1.2

    They apply to everyone: members, coaches, partners and MFit staff. Where content breaks Mongolian law, we remove it and may report it to the competent authorities.

  3. 1.3

    Automated tools screen uploads and help us sort reports, but decisions that affect your content or account are made or confirmed by a trained person.

  4. 1.4

    When deciding, we consider context, including intent, whether content is educational or newsworthy, and the risk of real-world harm, especially to vulnerable people.

2.What is not allowed

  1. 2.1

    In addition to the fitness-specific harms in the table below, the following are not allowed anywhere on MFit:

    • illegal content, or content that promotes or facilitates crime;
    • hate speech, or attacks on people based on ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or health status;
    • threats, incitement to violence, glorification of violence, or promotion of self-harm or suicide;
    • sexual content or nudity, including in progress photos shared publicly;
    • sharing someone’s personal information, photos or location without their consent, or recording people in changing rooms and similar private places;
    • content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property;
    • malware, phishing, and attempts to take over accounts.
  2. 2.2

    Depending on the severity, we may label content, limit its reach, remove it, or restrict the account. The table shows the default action for each fitness-specific harm.

Fitness-specific harms and our default action
HarmExamplesDefault action
Promoting eating disorders“Thinspo”, purging tips, extreme fastingRemoved; the author is offered support resources
Drugs and dopingSelling or sourcing steroids, SARMs, DNP or prescription drugsRemoved; attempted sales lead to a ban
Dangerous health claims“Lose 10 kg in a week”, disease curesRemoved or labelled
Body shaming and harassmentMocking someone’s body, targeted abuseRemoved; penalties increase with repeat breaches
Activity fraudFaked logs in challenges with prizesDisqualification from the challenge
Payment scams“Pay me by bank transfer” in order chatsBuyer warned; account reviewed
Spam and impersonationFake coaches, bots, copied profilesRemoved; identity verification required

3.Health and body-image safeguards

  1. 3.1

    MFit is designed to avoid harmful comparison. There are no weight or calorie leaderboards, no prizes for before-and-after transformations, and no “burn it off” messaging.

  2. 3.2

    If a post or message suggests someone may have an eating disorder or be at risk of self-harm, we respond with support resources rather than punishment, and we may limit the content’s visibility to protect others.

  3. 3.3

    Health claims must not promise unrealistic results or claim to diagnose, treat or cure disease. Supplements may be promoted only if they are registered and without medical claims.

  4. 3.4

    The app’s safety rules, such as screening, calorie floors and restricted modes, cannot be switched off by coaches, other users or the AI coach.

4.Child safety

  1. 4.1

    MFit is for adults aged 18 and over. We close accounts that belong to anyone younger.

  2. 4.2

    We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. Images and videos are checked against known-abuse hash lists before publication. Offending content is removed, the account is banned, and we report to the competent authorities.

  3. 4.3

    Our full child-safety standards and the named child-safety contact are on the Child safety page.

5.Buying, selling and partners

  1. 5.1

    Pay only through the checkout in MFit. If a seller, coach or anyone else asks you to pay by bank transfer, phone or another app, do not pay, and report it. Order chats warn you automatically when payment details are shared.

  2. 5.2

    Listings must be accurate, lawful and safe. Supplements need a valid registration, and food must meet food-safety and labelling rules. A food-safety report suspends the listing immediately while we investigate.

  3. 5.3

    Reviews must come from a genuine purchase or visit. Paid, incentivised or staff-written reviews are removed.

  4. 5.4

    Sponsored content is always labelled “Sponsored” with the advertiser’s name. Payment cannot buy organic ranking or better treatment of reviews.

  5. 5.5

    Partners that break these standards move up an enforcement ladder: warning, removal from featured placement, listing suspension, and offboarding. Each step comes with reasons and a right to appeal.

6.Location and personal safety

  1. 6.1

    Maps of shared activities are hidden by default, and start and end points are trimmed. You can add privacy zones around places such as your home.

  2. 6.2

    Shared check-ins show that you trained at a venue today, never that you are there now.

  3. 6.3

    Direct messages are open only between people who follow each other. Coaches, partners and venues can message you only within an order, booking or coaching relationship.

  4. 6.4

    Be careful when meeting people you know only from MFit. Meet in public places such as a venue, and tell someone you trust where you will be.

7.How to report

  1. 7.1

    Tap the “…” menu on any post, comment, profile, message, group, product, review or partner and choose “Report”. Choose the reason that fits best and add details if you can; screenshots and dates help us act faster.

  2. 7.2

    The person you report is never told who reported them.

  3. 7.3

    If you do not have an account, or cannot use the in-app tool, email our safety team at the address below.

  4. 7.4

    Please report in good faith. Deliberately false or abusive reports are themselves a breach of these standards.

8.Block and mute

  1. 8.1

    Blocking someone stops them seeing your content, finding your profile or messaging you. They are not notified.

  2. 8.2

    Muting hides someone’s posts from your feed without them knowing. You can undo either at any time in Settings.

9.How we review and enforce

  1. 9.1

    Some content is checked before it appears: media from new accounts during their first days, shop and venue listings, sponsored content, partner claims, and profile, group and cover images. Everything else is published immediately and reviewed if reported or flagged.

  2. 9.2

    Every report is reviewed by a person and acted on within 24 hours. Reports involving a risk to life or child safety are handled first.

  3. 9.3

    Depending on how serious the breach is and whether it has happened before, we may:

    • add a warning label or limit who can see the content;
    • remove the content;
    • temporarily restrict features such as posting, messaging or selling;
    • remove someone from a challenge or strip its results;
    • suspend the account or, for severe or repeated breaches, close it permanently.
  4. 9.4

    We may close an account without prior warning for the most serious breaches, such as child sexual exploitation, credible threats of violence, or selling illegal drugs.

10.Statement of reasons

  1. 10.1

    When we remove or limit your content, or restrict or suspend your account, we send you a statement in Mongolian and English. It explains what we did, which rule applied, whether automated tools were involved, and how to appeal.

  2. 10.2

    We may withhold details only where giving them would break the law or put someone at risk.

11.Appeals

  1. 11.1

    You can appeal any decision directly from the in-app notice. Tell us why you think the decision was wrong.

  2. 11.2

    A moderator who was not involved in the original decision reviews the appeal. If we got it wrong, we restore your content or account and correct any penalty.

  3. 11.3

    Appealing to us does not affect your right to raise the matter with the competent Mongolian authorities or the courts.

12.Private messages

  1. 12.1

    Messages are stored encrypted on servers in Mongolia. They are not end-to-end encrypted, so that we can act when someone reports abuse.

  2. 12.2

    Moderators can open a message only if it has been reported, and only to review that report. Every such access is recorded in an audit log.

  3. 12.3

    Messages are never sent to any AI service outside Mongolia, including for moderation.

13.Law enforcement

  1. 13.1

    We cooperate with the police and other competent authorities in accordance with Mongolian law. We disclose user data only when the law requires it, or when it is needed to prevent imminent harm to someone’s life or safety.

  2. 13.2

    Where the law allows, we tell the affected user about a request for their data.
